A sacred journey:
our catholic pre-nuptial initiation

Deep in our hearts, we have always held marriage as a profound symbol, acknowledging it as one of the sacred sacraments laid down by the Catholic Church.

As we embark on this beautiful journey together as bride and groom in the Catholic Church, we would like to share the pre-nuptial initiation process. This sacred endeavor has brought us closer to our faith, allowing us to prepare our hearts and souls for the unbreakable bond of matrimony.

seeking the blessings

Guided by our love for God and unwavering commitment, we found ourselves drawn to our local church, seeking the divine blessings of the Church for our imminent union. It was a humbling experience to express our sincere intent to enter into the sacrament of matrimony and seek the guidance of our faithful community.

counseling classes at snehalaya, dadar

Driven by our desire for a resilient and everlasting foundation for our marriage, we wholeheartedly embraced the opportunity to participate in mandatory counseling classes. Nestled in the heart of Dadar, Snehalaya, the church-run counseling class, became a sanctuary brimming with love and wisdom. The experienced counselors there navigated us through various aspects of married life, empowering us with valuable lessons and insights.

priestly guidance

Our hearts found solace in the presence of the priest who would officiate our wedding. Through several meetings, our souls were enriched with profound spiritual guidance. He patiently listened to us, addressed our doubts and fears, and helped us deepen our understanding of the sacred covenant we were about to enter into.

pre-nuptial enquiry form

With hearts full of anticipation, we eagerly filled out the pre-nuptial enquiry form, signifying our complete dedication to the sacred journey of marriage. This comprehensive document not only captured our personal details, but also allowed us to delve into our shared faith, values, and aspirations. As a testament to our commitment, we gladly affixed our signatures to the form. Additionally, two practicing and godly Catholics, whom we hold dear, kindly offered their witness and signed alongside us. Together, we entrusted this significant document to our parish priest, as a tangible symbol of our readiness and devotion to carry forward the holy marriage process.

the parish connection

Our journey extended beyond our individual parishes, as the completion of the pre-nuptial enquiry form established a connection. Groom's parish priest received the form, fostering communication and coordination between our beloved parishes. This bridging of communities enhanced our sense of unity and support.

marriage bans

As our pre-nuptial initiation progressed, we felt the loving embrace of our faith community through the announcement of "Marriage Bans." The joyous proclamation during Mass signaled the approaching union of our lives. We were profoundly moved by the prayers and well wishes offered by our congregation, enveloping us in a cocoon of love.

conclusion:

Our Catholic pre-nuptial initiation has been an extraordinary journey, etching a deeper connection to our faith and to each other. As we approach the sacred bond of matrimony, we carry with us the wisdom and blessings garnered through this process. With God's grace, the unwavering support of our parish priest, and the love of our faith community, we stand ready to embark on a lifelong partnership rooted in faith, love, and devotion.
